Vise Grips could conceivably damage the drive face. Pick up THIS. You can get it much cheaper if you shop. The pins lock the clutch too.

Excellent tool for clutch, drive pulley, flywheel, etc. I've had one for years. One thing about buying tools...You usually forget how much you pay for tools, but always enjoy how well they work.
