Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hey everyone,

I have 2 sprees, and both of my batteries are dead. Both were new last year, one was an AGM bought off of amazon, and it never really held a charge all that well. The other is just a typical lead acid I bought from the autoparts store, and it held a charge for most of the riding season last year, but appears to be shot now.

Just wondering what you all recommend for batteries. I've got a friend that runs lithiums, and he swears by them. Any one out there have experience with lithiums and have a brand they recommend?

I buy the cheap $15/shipped ones off Ebay. I get 3 years out of them and buy new ones. I can get 5-6 of these for the price of one Lithium. Can the Lithium last 15yrs?...didnt think so. Also the fact that the battery on a Spree does very little besides START the thing. HeII, I ran one with NO battery in it for awhile.

Save your Lithium battery purchase for your SeaDoo, StreetBike or Quad. Buy cheapie for Spree.
