Hey I was going to order polini variator kit for my af16e but noticed that
Ruckus polini number is 241.626
and Elite polini number is 241.480

any difference between them?

I'm just guessing here but the elite vari is about 89mm dimeter and ruckus vari is about 95mm diameter
You get a higher top speed with ruck vari as long as the motor is healthy and the gear ratio isn't inappropriate

Hey thanks for the answer!

I think I could go for ruckus variator since I will put 16x42 up gear in... the motor is stock only 2k miles ... just want to make sure that I can use stock variator face so I can use electric start?

Yes you can but if you use the ruck vari AND the ruck boss, you will have to shim out the kicker cover about a mm or so to clear the kicker engagement to stock drive face.

Greetings:

There is also a bit of crankcase fat trimming needed around the starter housing to allow the inner Drive Face to clear. It becomes self-evident when you slip the parts on the crank and takes no more than an hour with a carbide bit on a Dremel or similar tool.
