Fuel/Oil Leak from Fan Side of Engine

I have a significant Fuel/oil leak coming out of the fan/cowling side of the engine. All of the oil tank and fuel lines are dry. The carburetor side of the engine is dry. Leak is coming from the back of the cowling towards the rear wheel. There is also a signigicant amount of smoke coming out of the exahaust when the engine is running. This is on a stock, 85 spree with 5,600 miles.

Any suggestions?

My best advice is to stop riding the scooter, remove the covers, and inspect everything until you discover the problem.
