Nocking noise when running ???

I got this 84 spree the other day. It didn't run. I fixed the vaccume petcock and the fuel lines and cleaned the carb. Now it runs but i have a horible nocking that comes and goes while it is running, almost only at lower rpm's. any ideas? could it be the clutch ? sounds like it is comming from the trans but im not 100%. any info would be helpful. Thanks.
