How is the mixture with the new air filter, did you have to go the the 118?

The mixture is good, I had been running really rich for break in for a while, so it turned out nice with the 110. Loud though, really loud.

Annother question...

What clutches are guys using to maintain grab after the first five minutes of riding? I can wheelie like a madman for the first few minutes, but when the clutch warms up my takeoff bite is dulled. What is a good clutch that keeps clutch grab more consistent when warmed up?

i believe it is more about cooling than it is about the clutch really. a high performance clutch will only be able to do so much unless you keep it cool. since i cut mine to leave the bell completely exposed, clutch fade has pretty much dissapeared...

still looks a little ugly till i can repaint, but works great!

Greetings:

May I suggest you hit up Burnt_Toast for that snazzy used Ruima vented bell he's selling? I've got one, and vented or not it works better than stock. Open bell is definitely better than the stifling cover either way.

Installing 8.4:1s tommrrow along with a 2k centespring, ill keep it updated, hope the rain will let off enough for a wot run and gps to determine new top speed.
Crossing my fingers for 60+, would like to cruise up slight incline with needle a little past the"e" on the fuel guage.

Gears intalled,
While I had clutch apart, i used fine grit sand paper and lighgtly sanded the clutch friction materials to get the glaze off, really helped so far, more solid grab, even with 8.4:1s.
Less rain tommrrow, so on my way to work all have my gps on inside my backpack. Already reset the max speed so I don't forget tommrrow moring at five thirty.

So 62mph with at least a couple mph to go.
Had a soft seize this morning, fattened up my main to 118 with stock carb and screwed my a/f screw in almost a turn(making it load up a little at idle, but safer)

Any inputs/advice on my tuning setup?

Stock carb and a 118 and my scoot keeps soft seizing after runs over 40mph when I come to a slow down a/f screw 3/4 turns out... someone give me a pointer.

Greetings:

How many miles on the BBK so far? #8 or #9 plug? Got 'nuff oil? I'd be looking for vacuum, exhaust, cylinder base and head leaks if that seizing started after a long period of running great.

The stock pilot jet is too small. when slow from topspeed you will have to blip the throttle to keep the gas flowing into the motor while squeezing the brake to slowdown. How much oil are you adding to the gas tank?

Ok, probably at leat 300+ miles on bore
Baka, thanks, I do blip the throttle on the slow down, its weird the way it happens, I have the a/f screw in to the point it four strokes at idle sometimes, how do I richen the mid up? Because I know my main is large enough.
My uni may also be letting in more air than my tiny carb can provide fuel for. When I was using the stock airbox, the scooter ran really well.

Wheelman, thanks as well, when I get a chance ill check for air leaks and retorque my head/intakemani/exhaust bolts.

I need to get a cht, just hardly have any time with work getting crazy busy.

I think I need to get a stock airbox and detune it a little. Right now I can max out the 8.4:1 gears on a slight incline, I would be happy with a little less power for more reliability.

right now your maxing if not over maxing the stock carb for the speeds you want.the needle you have to have it in the richest position for your mid to run more rich.

thanks baka, I really don't even use the top end much, I even have reasonably heavy weights in so it doesn't act too revy. Do you think a stock airbox will help at all? Ill make sure the clip is at its richest, and probably get an oil plug... right now I'm doing 1.5oz per gallon+pump. I really only want about 55 top speed, 62+ what I have right now I hardly use.
