Drilling out exhaust baffles

Post by PWDJDM »

I've heard alot of people talk about this but couldn't find anything on performance variances, or a how to and where and what to drill... I ordered a tact exhaust for my se50p, basically just an unrestricted se50 pipe, and was trying to figure out whether it should be drilled or not. Any help would be great.

I wouldn't drill it. The end of it is designed for the right amount of back pressure to make it somewhat resonant. If you make it bigger some of the pressure wave effect will be lost of of the exhaust pipe. I am sure some engineers researched this pipe to a high level

That pipe works great as is. I wouldn't mess with it.

Thats what I want. stock. My Spree works so well stock I want to keep it that way. Hard to resist the urge to mess with it. so far so good. I go out pull the brake lever push the button it starts within a few revs then runs like a champ for 60 miles at a go no problem.

Yep, same one I ordered. Ordered it on the 8th and it still hasn't come yet, when they say a maximum of 22 days to ship they mean it! For 25$ shipping I'm not impressed, but thats what you get from taiwan. High people in amsterdam are faster shipping my gears than these guys are though :jack:
