malossi cast iron is way better than the contessa in my opinion corsa would be bolt on power, recommend temp guage for tuning and over heating problems...also premixing would be highly advised running clots should be good for a sleeper setup if thats the way your going 72 stock carb stock pipe :2thumbs:

I'm leaning towards the Malossi now with a 90ish main jet.
Would I have to open up my airbox a bit, IE: drill some extra openings??

I opened up the second airbox tab with the stock carb and it ran great! Use a knife or drill or whatever you have to pop it out.

I've now taken the plunge and gone with a Polini. Now to get that main jet...90ish.

So what are the safe operating temps that I should be watching for?

Gonna start ripping her a part this weekend and hope that the snow doesn't arrive too soon!

ok great! Thanks for the temps.
I took my carb apart today to check my jet size and found that I also have a slow jet. It is size 35. Next size up is 38 then 40. Which should I order, if not both?

When you say complete, do you mean with cable and manifold?

Oh No.. Just the carb itself and the black spigot to attach to the manifold. I also have the bottom half of a ct black manifold with reed cage and reeds.
