power jet carb tuning instructions

Post by benji »

Here's a link to a website I found, might help solve the mystery of the powerjet.

This one's about how afr gauges work better than egt's or plug chops http://www.sdsefi.com/techegt.htm
I'm gonna get a afr and try this out.

I guess the idea is to add another jet up top, therefore allowing you to use a leaner main jet and clip position down low to help clean up mid range and three quarter throttle positions. It seems like you would make the carburetor infinitely more adjustable. This could be why some dirt bikes used way bigger carbs then we seem to be able to, like a stock KX 65 using a 26 millimeter carb.
