Take my poll about your pulley and rollers
i figure a poll about what type of pulley and rollers everyone is using will help people that are wondering what to use figure it out.
I'm running a 72cc metrakit with a 28mm carb and PG long exhaust 9:1 gearing with a oko high speed pulley with 5 and 6g rollers. 5 and 6 make it rev to mid rpm's before it grabs. before this i ran 6 and 7's which i think was more efficent it grabbed right at the bottom of the rpm range and made it shift the rollers quickly so the powerband was accesible after the gearing had changed.
what are you running?

Was running 6x 5.3g= 31.8g total in lightened Keli vari with great results. mix of 5.3 and 6g was okay but had a flat spot at 25-35mph. Also tried 3x 9g= 4.5g avg, also decent but you could tell it was over revving. Been at 31.8g most of the time, so I'd agree with your 5g +6g combo, similar.
And just yesterday I switched back to stock pulley, also with 31.8g and midrange is a champ! Shift curve isn't as abrupt as Keli's and much better for street riding. With Keli you're either on or off, especially with lighter weights. Have yet to check top speed, but judging by how far belt rides, should be similar to before.
Setup:
72cc Corsa, Ruima ministroke, PG Long, 28mm OKO, 7:1 gearing
Best top speed of 73.4mph GPS so far

i hate to even thing of agreeing with maddog, but those gears sound a hair low to me. I mean, thats a * of a set up you got. you could stand to get 8.44:1 or even 7:1 like burnt toast.
But It all depends where you ride, How you ride, so on and so forth.
I run 8.44:1 gears in my stock bike. But then again i do most of my riding top speed. Im sure if i lived in a city i would switch to like 9:1 or 10:1 for the best take off.
To each his own.

Honestly, I wish I went with a ratio such as 8.44:1, I think the low end would be better. But at least my 7:1 are straight cut and primary so that helpsDac wrote:i hate to even thing of agreeing with maddog, but those gears sound a hair low to me.
