Carb Tuning!

Post by nparks »

Thought this might help some, as it has helped me understand how the carb works. I believe that my set up is running way too lean due to the main jet being too small for such a large carb (28mm). If I go over 1/2 throttle it seems to lack power (even though I can go about 55mph at 1/2 throttle).

Oh and for the full posting on carb tuning check this site out: http://justkdx.dirtrider.net/printcarbtuning.html

Nice link and pic dude! I have a badass Mikuni tuning manual somewhere with similar info and very detailed. I'll try to link that up too when I find it.

As far as jets, pm me. I know a guy in hawaii that can hook you up with a nice set for pretty cheap.
projects galore :nerd:
