I'm interested to see what you guys get sent.

I've bought parts from maddog before; he was pretty responsive via email.

A MadDog of Integrity

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

He's officially out of the MadDog house! The Free Part arrived today. At least I think it's his... Didn't order one.

The Dog sent me a Gin-You-Whine contra spring bearing flange. Either that or a really cool barstool spinner bearing. :). No, Ha-Ha, I kid you.

Image

Just turn your head a little to the right...

This device prevents the Contra spring from loading up, thus keeping it straight and preventing the Dreaded Wobble. At the very least it increases preload and ensures the force of the spring doesn't vary under load. Cool part - all the Italians are using them. Hawaiians too!

I take back all the bad things I ever opined about The Mad One. Thank you MadDog!!

No Le Poopage

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

The Wheelman never shovels what the French call "Le Poopage". Pic added above...

Next time I dig into the Left side cover it's going on...

Received my Maddog oldschool part as well! :D Thank you my man, and sorry for ever misjudging you.

looks badass! bearings go inside sleave and center spring presses against cover, I'm totally seeing how it works, just like wheelman described and can't wait to try it out heh

Greasing

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

The Mad One gave me the emailed advice to "lightly coat..." the bearings with lithium grease, but not to pack the race. I can see where that might lead to a mess in the side cover...

Wonder how come my part got here to Deepinnaharta so much quicker?

Dang Detective Dac

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

Dang ol' Detective Dac caught Toasty and me red-handed in a conspiracy to uplift MadDog. We both went out separately and purchased ourselves those clutch bearings, took photos, and then falsely claimed they were sent by MadDog. Only Dac saw through the ruse.
