I would do a leak test with a hand pump to 6psi. I had similar problem and found a leak on the ct manifold. use soapy water is best. plug your exhaust, and try not to blow out a seal. good luck.
I was thinking about that over the weekend. I don't have a gage that is accurate at that low of psi. I don't want to guess because with my luck I'd blow out a crank seal for sure. Also was trying to think of ways to seal the intake side and still get air in. I'm assuming I should pull the carb and do it from the manifold? Any suggestion on how to seal it and still be able to get air in?

I didn't port match my case to my cylinder either and it's quite a big difference in size so I've been thinking about just pulling the motor and splitting the case to port it and reseal the whole thing. But I ride it almost everyday so I never want to pull the engine... lol
