The best methods of increasing power?

Post by SpartanBurger »

I have read a lot on the forums, but still can't find a definant answer on what are the best things to do to increase speed on a Spree. My spree goes around 29, and I have already done the obvious things, like cleaning the carb. I have also drilled the exhaust. But what other mods work the best? Any input is appreciated.

The pully mod is a modification made to the front pully. there is a full explination and how to in the Technical Documents section.

As far as which mods work best??? Well, I say that thay all work well in conjunction with each other. As for what to do next.... I would recomend the pully mod. Then get an aftermarket cone filter and re-jet the carb.

Hope this sets you in the right direction.

Use the torch to clean it first, procedure in tech docs.

You can try drilling the exhaust; 4 - 1/4" holes in a circle around the out pipe, about 6" into the muffler.

Drilling the exhaust doesn't seem to require rejetting. Check to see that you're running the #68 jet vs. #65, though. Iowa models have a #65 stock, I believe.
