Quick Question!!

My exhaust has the little tip placed at an angle and not in the center of the back of my muffler thing (I have an elite 50). So I cant really drill the holes in a perfect circle around it, is that alright??

alright, upon further inspection the tip is like way at the bottom of the muffler.

Like essentially where the period is if you're looking directly at the back of the muffler. So if I were to drill a circle around it I'd be drilling through the side walls of the muffler as opposed to through the back.

Is this the same muffler as the spree? And if its not i'm guessing the chambers inside are different??
Sorry for so many questions, i just want to be thorough.

dont drill on the side. it doesnt matter where the holes are drilled, as long as they are on the back. (::.) is fine.

On my '85, the guy drilled two holes. One of them went through the side, so there's an exhaust leak out of the main chamber. Loud. Plan to weld it up after I get the rest back together.
