Speed restrictor?????? FAster Speed???

I just got a spree and took it for a ride, it tops out at around 33mph.....and some of my friends say that i could possibly make it go faster by taking of a speed restrictor. Does honda spree have speed restrictors???? and is it possible to take it out???
Also what are some other ways i can make it go faster????
Any help is appreciated ....thanks

33 is about all u can really expect and if its goin 33 it is not restricted..... there is a few things u could try:
-intake manifold mod
-aftermarket airfilter (need to upjet)
-front pully mod( loose alot of low end but can be fixed bystiffer clutch springs)
-i shaved i think it was 0.015" of the head for more power
-drill out the exhuast

Read the posts in this forum. 33 is pretty good to start, though. You can probably get 40.

I did the pulley mod and haven't tried it since. How bad is it low end and where do I get stiffer clutch springs and what kind?

well i have done the pullymod and my low end is pretty bad but i still think it is rideable like that....i just orderd my clutch springs they are from leo vince im not sure yet if they will fit yet but i will see when i get them and i just got them at my honda dealer

Is there a post some where in the forums that tells you how to do the pulley mod?? and is that hard to do??? also how much higher speed do you get with that?

look in tech docs and its really pretty easy to do i was confused about it for a bit but then when i got it i realized how easy it was....i got an extra 7km/h
