Oversize pistons

Post by Dewey »

If I have my jug bored out are there oversize pistons on the market that I can buy to fit? If so how far can I bore it out? The cylinder wall and piston are scored pretty bad by the exhaust port. It still has 120 psi compression though. 8O

No one's found a distributor for overbore Spree pistons. JCC Piston, in Korea, makes a 2mm overbore (43mm) piston for the Spree engine. But I haven't yet tried to run down a distributor for them. Min order from JCC is 2000 pistons, if anyone's interested...

By the way, a piston OEM from honda is only $30. I dont think its that bad. Finding a cheap cylinder is the problem.. (I was quoted $145 from Honda)

give em about two days. they're pretty reliable with answering emails, atleast in my past experiances w/ them.

and yeh the dealer price is why I had decided to look elsewhere, my used cylinder was $25 shipped. :)
