Search the forum. There have been several threads about this. You really need specific information about each individual tire model since even with the same specified size they can differ in width and diameter enough to make a difference in fit.

Wheelman-111 has discussed some combinations and used a metro rim.

Hey Steffen, I am doing the exact same thing! I have a super9 and want bigger tires as well, let me know what you find and I will do the same.

Wait, you have a super 9 and want bigger tires on the super 9, or you want bigger tires on an elite? I'm looking for bigger tread for the elite so it mimics the nicer handling of my super 9.

I am modifying a 96 Elite and would like wider tires. The Super9 tires are fine.

Holy crap that is not a bolt on affair! :P Weren't you worried that something wouldn't be square and true, thus giving you horrible handling?

I am running 90/90 x 10" tires with metro back wheel, had to bend kick stand out a little from tire. Stock front wheel tubeless, had to drill out valve stem hole a little and use a chrome bolt together valve. This size tire are the biggest your gonna fit.Michelin S1 are the best i tried at a good price. :coolcruise:

Worried? Me? Naw man not at all. :thumbwink:

I was very very very careful. I measured, and remeasured several times.
I do not recommend anyone try this, unless you are a professinal welder.
I did get it right, but would never want to do it again with these forks. They are a tad wide and make the plastics not fit right.

The elite S conversion for my spree came from the elite S that got the disc brake chinees conversion.
I love the ride one this !!! Even though it makes the plastics not fit as well.
