86cc Ministroker 50mm, OKO 24mm Jet Starting Point?
Greetings:
Nacree generously loaned me his beloved 24mm OKO, featuring the maligned Power Jet. Most have disabled the feature, evidently because nobody has reported success using it.
Assuming I also plug the PJ, where should baseline jetting begin? Remember the bore is still very new, and I don't mind super-rich to start.

We just built one of these.
but It was a 28mm oko with the PJ
We went with 155 main and 58 pilot.
It runs pretty good so far. No plug chops yet.....still breakin' it in.

Re: 86cc Ministroker 50mm, OKO 24mm Jet Starting Point?
Should run nice. My CR85 expansion chamber gives it a nice mellow powerband even with the 28 OKO. Clutch springs are from the hardware store (soft) and still wheelies are optional. As far as carburetion Wheelman, you know the drill.

Greetings:
Thank you Baka-san. Pilot sounds a bit big, but I'm really surprised at your recommendation of such a small main. However I'll respect your experience. How come so small, d'ya think? (As luck would have it, my smallest PWK Main currently is a 138!) Back to shopping...

Try it there. On my race bike with the malossi mhr rep. ,the 24mm carb could only take the 122 main if the air was around 75 deg with low humidity below 50%. This last race I was running a 120 main in the oko 24

Greetings:
My setup is in my sig line. Esteemed Baka-san suggested 55/128 to start, knowing I wanted to begin rich. He appears to be right - my smallest was a 138 and it barely ran with the 55 pilot. A little better with the 52, but it seemed clear that the 138 was way big. Now awaiting 122-135 from BeatriceATV.
All these mufflers, including PhonGeer, don't have much surface protection. That V8 looks interesting but it belongs to TrafficJamz. I have the PG Long in waiting for the end of break-in. I'm currently running a very torquey, low-end pipe called "Hot Surfaces, Do Not Touch" from TazLand. It has juice even down as low as 6K. Anyone with a stock-to-80cc kit needing good low-end should look into this muffler. Affordable, too.

Is running a PG long a bad idea for break in? what about a stock Goshi?

Greetings:
To my thinking, the PG sort of requires 8000 RPM before the fun starts. With my sordid history of fried pistons, I may be over-thinking this, but prefer a pipe that has juice down low where the engine makes less heat.
When I amass some time/miles/confidence, I plan to lighten up the weights, make sure of adequate jetting, and reinstall the PG.
I know nothing of Goshi pipes.

Re: 86cc Ministroker 50mm, OKO 24mm Jet Starting Point?
Greetings:
Rain and Family Obligations have limited my testing time. The 55 Pilot was way too big, particularly with my smallest main - a 138. I drilled an old Amal jet to 131 size and it was a bit better with that and a 52 Pilot, but still pretty dark plug and temps <250, which for break-in was what I want for now.
I've finally received a selection of Main jets down to 122 or so. Plan to install the 128 next and work down. I expect I'll settle on the 125, perhaps with a 50 or a 48 Pilot. I have not yet decided on whether or not to enable the Power Jet, maybe I'll wait to see if what results when Bakaracer tries his.
My Flash 4.2 displaces ~87cc, so results won't apply directly to a 72 or 78cc setup, but at least you can get close enough to run/test. Hopefully this information will be of benefit to someone's tuning later on.
After wearing out Generous Nacree's 24, I plan to order either another OKO 24 or a 26mm - depends on who has a good deal on price and delivery time - in the next 2 weeks. Hawai'ians like VTCycles swear by the 28 for bigger displacements. Not sure if the 24 is enough to get all the top end Flash can deliver, but sure is more forgiving to tune. Sometimes wringing out every last milli-Pony isn't such a good idea for a Daily Rider. Is the 26 the best compromise? Stay tuned!

Wheelman,
Yeah dude, after all I have read the pstmonth on how the 28mm carbs may just be a bit big and definitely harder to tune, I too have planned on dropping down to a 24 or 26mm OKO.
Keep us posted for sure on the results...
Hope all is well with you dude!

Re: 86cc Ministroker 50mm, OKO 24mm Jet Starting Point?
i'll get you a 26mm, sounds like that would be perfect!!! it takes about a week and a half from taiwan. and im cheaper then VT and Free shipping.
