Seems strange that malossi would not want there boost port to match :eyeroll:

Why miss out on the xtra performance?
:imo: If you are not going to match the boost port, you should buy the polini instead. :imo:

I've got a malossi from vt and I never matched my boost port. The bike can go over 70 mph radar and gps verified. My plug is nice and chocolaty brown with no scoring on the cylinder. Looks brand new after 1k miles

I have no doubt that you do.

Do you think it would perform better or worse with the boost port cut?

What pipe and carb do you have?

I'm running a 28mm oko with 52/142 pilot and main, needle one down from center. I've got a oko variator with 8s and 9s/ sef ramp, 8.44 gears, polini clutch and polini natural springs. I'm running a v8 typhoon pipe, but I did my fastest run with a big sef pipe. I don't want to touch the boost port yet because I'm still deciding on getting a corsa or using a sef ministroke crank that I've got. I got this bike with only 200 miles on it and re did the crank seals when I put the malossi on. I could have done the boost port job then but I wanted to leave it virgin in case I wanted to go polini.

Who the * knows, I was told it was a 51mm ruima, jug came from one guy head from another, fan shroud would not cover the jug. Didnt come with new studs... Get what you pay for, thats why I said f it and called vt.

I started the ruima at #130 where it would not clean out at wot and started coming down untill it cleaned out, plug was nice and brown. Ended up at a #120. still seized up at 45mph on 9:1 gears.

VT is sending me new seals just to be on the safe side

Its not funny

Got the parts in today, have decided to cut the boost port to match the malossi 70 kit. I was at a guys house last week putting crank bearings in a spree and he had a tool to pull the crank into the cases and then pull the cases together. Anyone know what this is called or where to get one? The tool threaded onto the crank....
