where do you get head studs for the dio motors?

I have seen a few builds on here where guys have used studs and nuts to bolt the jug and head down. Where do you guys get those?
This is picture is from the "how to build and tune a fast elite" thread that is stickied in the build forum. Are those studs supplied with the polini head or are they aftermarket?

they come in some of the kits. mostly the ruima kits have them.

Most nut and bolt supply stores will have them. I use two different local ones, Tacoma Screw and Valley Nut and Bolt here in the southern Puget sound area. Look in the yellow pages is your best bet for finding you local supplier.

Most replacement cylinder kits & big bore kits come with the studs & nuts.

Actually that is wrong. The high dollar kits come with studs. Most do not come with studs.

I assume that the threads are going to be M8-1.25, but does anyone know the length of the studs in the kits? what about thread length?
If I used these studs, what is the torque spec used on the high end kits? Is it the same as that of the standard bolts or is it more?

Measure the length of the head bolt and add 3/4 of an inch. This isn't rocket science.

Use the same torque spec as for the bolts.

The polini kit does NOT come with those studs. But maybe that is not a "decent kit"

It sounds like you believe the Supreme Insult to someone who disagrees with you is to call him a Lawn Mower mechanic. What've you got against mowers, anyway? Did you lose some appendage to one? Maybe you shouldn't have mounted the ignition switch behind the rotor?
Tuning lawn mowers for performance isn't much weirder than tuning obsolete 50cc smoker-Scooters, truth be told. Some
Mower Tuning can be downright interesting, in fact.

malossi kits dont come with them either. the only kit I know that comes with cylinder studs is the ruima kits. im sure there are a few others but the ruima for sure comes with cylinder studs
