variator... can i make it better?

well i have a kelly one?? i think its the one u see on ebay withthe black backgournd in the pic... yea well is there anything i can do to make it better. a better plate? anything?

i would say better cam plate and thats about it and different roller weights.

some of us use a very thin washer between the pulley and the plate. it makes a better squeve on the belt. When you turn the front pulley it should turn the back pulley when both sides are tightened up. I also cut my pulley on the inside to have the ramp sit further in on the weights. Cut it to take as much play of the weight out. This gives you more rev. i do it yet don't recommend it because you can't tell if you are shaving the pulley equally on all sides
