Honda Spree Exhaust to Honda elite?

Post by SkeeTownSpree »

Hey guys,

I was wondering if I am able to put an UN-restricted 86 Honda Spree exhaust on my 87 Honda Elite?

The only reason I ask is because a friend told me I would get a little more speed with an UN-restricted exhaust.

Really appreciate anyone's help/opinion on the situation.

Thanks.

Why not just derestrict your restricted exhaust yourself?

Honda Spree Exhaust to Honda elite?

Theoretically, I am sure it is. I know an elite e exhaust fits on a spree but I don't know if a sprees would fit on a se50p. I just dont know if it's big enough. I wouldn't think there would be any performance gains though. But try it.

I dont think the spree exhaust will bolt on since the header angles are different. You need either an se50 pipe or a leo vince sp3 aftermarket. You cant derestrict an se50p exhaust the restriction is in the diameter of the pipe itself if I am not mistaken

Correct Mystic.

You can use an '85-93 variated 50 cc exhaust on that engine. The variated and non -variated exhausts will not interchange. The spree and elite e will interchange but the elite es is the best of the three.

Carnie said to try it, but he didn't sound to sure about it. I guess I was looking for a straight answer.

Thanks Bear.

What swimmingfree says is what I meant by theoretically. You can make nearly anything fit with enough time and effort and modification but I wasn't sure if it'd bolt on as I have never thought about it. But if you have the time and means, try it. Sorry, my post was ambiguous.

I just measured the outlets on a 86 spree pipe and a stock sa50 and they are both roughly the same at 13mm 0.52in hard to tell exactly since my tipe on the spree is a little squished but I think they are the same. Probably wouldnt make much diference on a stock bore to make the outlet bigger since the engine needs that extra fuel charge from the exhaust as the cylinder scavenges. Would probably be helpful to a larger stroker bore that displaces more. I have a very limited understand of how the exhaust fits into the equation on a 2 stroke either way
