44.4 crank

Post by Downsouthdio »

hi guys..today i installed my 44.4 crank along with bearings and seals..now heres the thing...when i put it back together and turn the motor over by the fan and by just turnig both sides of the crank..it feels a little more harder to turn than i thought..no metal onmetal hitting but kinda can hear the seals making like a rubbing sound im guessing..my ? is should it be this way since everything is so fresh and will wear in or..??

It shouldnt spin as freely as it did before the seals went in. It should spin easy when you turn the shaft by hand but still have some resistance

Did you put the seals in more than 2mm below the lip of where the crank seals go in?

If you have the stator and mag already installed, then there is going to be resistance from the that.

Doe anyone know the thickness of gaskets needed on the 44.4 ministroke with corsa.. The guy i bought it from says he runs 2 base and one more head gasket..? I never received the gaskets so now i need to find out.. Also i did my boost port to match the corsa n took just a tad to much on one side of the block..will this be ok ?
