That works fine for a silencer element (even for 50cc size), but you still need an expansion chamber to get a performance benefit. If you look at the first picture, you can see that the silencer is attached to a small expansion chamber on the boat.

oh i just meant as an attatchment for silencer purpose.... nothing else

that's why the topic says "muffler" and not "exhaust" thats all no big deal just thought it might be cool to look at....

well i actually made that muffler and it works ok i put it on a weedeater and its not louder and it is actuall a little quieter

i ones filled my freinds exaust with steel wool.... it got quieter. but slower...
