Clutch or Belt Slipping?

seems as if my clutch and or belt is slipping a little after warm up.... what can i do to prevent it? or what type of clutch or belt would be better? my setup listed below.. Thanks!

Is the clutch shoes black? is there black lines on the variator?

the clutch shoes look new... no black marks... at the outermost edge of the variator i see a darker black line...

for the first ten to 15 mins of riding the scooter easily lifts the front tire... after that it feels as if it's slipping.. and the engine is properly warmed up for the 10 to 15 mins.

Then that's not clutch or belt slippage. That's heat soak in the trans going on. The spring is getting soft after it gets hot soits like the weights are to heavy. When the engine is cold the spring and belt is stiff. Do you have the rear trans cover on?

i have the rear trans cover off.. i was thinking the same .. i hate to put a stiffer center spring in then i'd have to put heavier weights in..

or should i lighten the weights? wouldn't that make for slower takeoff?

no that helps with take off. if any just drop the weight by 1.5grams total weight and try that. what your trying to do is find a happy medium. what brand spring are you using? you got one of those malossi torsion controllers on?

ive got 1 of those malossi torsion controllers coming.It just looks like a spacer what exactly does it do.I also got the malossi red center spring coming what tenshion is it is it the hardest or medium

i don't have a malossi torsion control thingy.. but i do have a black plastic shim/washer instead of the stock metal one.. my contra spring is a blue 1000 i bought from vt. cycles

What the malossi torsion controller does is when the rear pulley sheave is opening,it twist. The spring will twist and collapse too. The controller makes it so that the spring doesn't twist and it just slideswhen its sitting in the clutch plate so now the spring keeps its tension and doesn't weaken easy from it being stretched from twisting. That's what weakens that aftermarket center spring

What plastic shim are you talking about? The 1k spring you have is fine.
