What is the right trailtech vapor kit for a 01 elite?

Post by steffen707 »

So i've done a fair amount of reading and people seem to love their trailtech vapor dashes. I think having an accurate rpm,mph and of course CHT is sweet all in one, I plan to replace my stock cluster with one of these.

I was ready to buy the Vapor Kit: 75-603, because its made for the honda ruckus, when i realized it uses a 12mm spark plug sensor, then i found out our elites use a 14mm one. It looks like treatland sells the 75-2012 which is intended for the yamaha blaster ATV.

What kit should I get, what kit do you guys have, what extra accessories do I need? I heard some people had to buy an extension harness from treatland.

Thanks.

Alright, for anybody curious, i searched ebay and found the 75-2012 kit which is for the blaster and has the right 14mm CHT sensor. Ridersdiscount has them for $97 shipped with silver, I was a retard and selected buy it now before I remembered you can get these in black. The black kit is 752-2012, and can be had for $116 shipped. Some might not care, but for $19 more bucks, I like the black look better, fits with the elite handle bar fairing.

In case you were curious, ridersdiscount customer service had no problems with canceling my order, and now I got the other one ordered ready to go.

I have done both. I would recommend just buying the extension. It's only $6 for gods sake.
