MLM is now making Honda Spree performance pipes!

Post by Motion Left Mopeds »

Hi everyone, I am the owner of Motion Left Mopeds(MLM) and we make performance pipes for many of the pedal type mopeds. I recently bought a Spree and built a pipe for it. I would love to build more products for the Spree if there is any interest.

Good looking pipe! Any shots of it on the scooter? How much top speed did it net and what was the effect on the low end power?

Looks a lot like the pipe taz has been working on:

I just finished welding it up earlier today. I did one test run in the rain and there was a very noticeable power band around 7mph. I will get more testing done once the weather clears up. I am planing on making two Spree intakes that a Dellorto 15/15 or Mikuni 18mm will fit up-to.

I want to make sure that it performs the way I want it to before I set a price on it.

The work looks top notch. What's the inner diameter of the downpipe you're using, and the pipe length from cylinder to expansion chamber?

The first bend off the flange has a 23mm ID and rest of the header has a 25mm ID. The header length is about 14". Please feel free to email me as well mlmopeds@hotmail.com

Hello, have you had time to test it out and post performance results? Also, have you had time to figure out a price?

Sadly have not had a chance to test it out yet. I am willing to ship it out for free to someone with a good running Spree and that has tuning experience. I would love to see it perform on a Spree that has an aftermarket upgraded carb on it. Please email me mlmopeds@hotmail.com with your setup if you would like to possibly test this pipe.

That's a very generous offer you're putting out there. Although I have a 1989 Elite E SB50P which seems to be a spree engine on an Elite chassis, mine is stock. I haven't done any performance upgrades so I would be probably not be a good test candidate.... Which is a real bummer actually because I joined Hondaspree.net hoping someone could help locate either a new OEM or aftermarket direct fit replacement....

I have had suggestions of using a BBQ pit, chemically cleaning or opened up and repaired-resealed.... I was told my muffler was clogged by a Honda Mechanic but others have suggested it could be the exhaust port..... You seem like you know your way around a muffler, what's your suggestion for getting a replacement with (as close to) the recommended stock flow. Or if you opted for repair, what route would you take?

Here's a link to the thread I started: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25333

If the price is within the range of your other exhausts, mark me down for at least one.

Are you only looking at building pipes for the stock bore or will you also be building pipes to compliment the 48mm big bore kit?

Hi, i find it strange to put the silencer in the middle of the exhaust??? Never seen this before. Always seen the silencers at the end of the cone? Is there a reason for this design? The pipe IS empty inside?
Just out of curiosity (I ride an Aero50...in France!)

I have a stock SB50P that I would like to test for you. If one could purchase a good pipe and the correct jet you could have a winner. We can purchase new jugs, pistons, carbs, etc but a non restricted exhaust is what is needed.
