supercharger

Post by vette76 »

i have a chance to get a used supercharger from a kid in school he used to have on his scoot. i thought he was crazy when he said it,but i guess they sell a lot of parts for them in whatever the * country he is from. i wonder how hard one would be to make?

That is just * up. What are you going to do? Run it off the alternator/cooling fan? After riding on one of these modded scoots, I am very content with my 30-35 top speed. Anything over that is nuts on these things. Mine is used for around town errands.

Post a pic of it. I've never heard of a supercharger for these, just turbos. The Spree isn't a good candidate for this; you'd want a variator, a new pipe, and maybe water cooling (you'll be making more heat, if it works.)

You get 30-35 mph out of your spree? Without mods? I only weigh 160 and I can very rarely get it above 30 downhill. And its not iowa.

I believe the Supercharger would be more trouble than it's worth, you'll need to upgrade almost everything on your Spree so it's safe enough for you to enjoy more than once. lol, but true.

I'm waiting to get the time to weld together the expansion chamber. With 12" of snow here it won't need to be done till spring...
