You can run bbkit on stock carb with a rejet, but I wouldn't recommend it. The idle/pilot jet in the stock carb is a little small for the big bore kit. If you go with a better carb you will be able to jet the idle and main jets to what they need to be for your needs.

Its a nice carb setup that taz sells. I have one for my spree but I haven't had a chance to get it on there. Same goes for my bbkit thats waiting patiently waiting to be installed. Winter got in the way with snow clearing, snowboarding my butt off and working.
Taz what about looking at making/finding stiffer clutch springs for the Spree/SB? I would think it could help take off and torque a fair amount right? I would imagine that could only help performance on the BBK.

cut heat and bend how easy is that ive done it multiple time on friends bikes who have now gone with a engine swap after they realised they were wasting there money
My spree eats hills now before the bbk with dished piston with just the pipe, just think what the pipe, bbk, carb will do. Stiffer springs will be a welcome thing, for my spree even f I have to cut/ bend.
My wife got her eliteE up to 40 all stock (took her a long time to get there though lol) so we will see now with the bbk. I went tru 5 or 6 heat cycles today, and im going to start riding it today
TAZ BIG Bore kit working fine now. Finally got around to removing one of the head gaskets. It now screams with only 2 gaskets! Is Taz still around? How did the muffler experiment go for those guys makin them?
Later.
I had three head gasket because the piston was hitting the top of the head. so now I have 2.
I also have four holes half inch ontop of the air box. I've got more top end now.
