v8 pipe loudness?

Post by Fallout Spree »

I know some of you guys run v8 pipes. Could you tell me how loud they are? I don't need an exact decibel level but compared to stock? Wide open?

compaired to stock pipe I would say the v8 is about a third louder. Maybe less. It's actually about as loud as my stock pipe was after I took all the guts out of it.

As far as aftermarket pipes go, The yms v8 pipe is one of the more quiet pipes.

The intake side of the engine contributes more noise than the v8 does.

They have a low rumble if paired to a 50mm cylinder. at 8k rpms not that loud at all. PG short much louder.
