Most of our Dio Motor's Bushings are bad due to age of the rubber inside the bushing, So I decide to upgrade to Polyurethane, Also It will stiffen up the frame and hopefully will last longer.

I homemade it, is actually energy suspension sway bar bushings, I took the boss from the old rubber bushings, grind off the rubber then press it into the Polyurethane bushing.

Good stuff. I wish I did not give away my bag of poly bushings a few months ago. I had a complete set for a 99 civic but sold the car and did not think of anything creative with them so I passed them along.

Hi da808. I agree with graphite. if the bushing pops out please be careful. do a lot of test runs and checks.
I do love the idea.

graphite9 wrote:New oem bushings are $8ea. There is no reason to go to a poly bushing. All your doing it transferring more vibration. You are installing a custom made bushing into a location it's not intended for. Stick with oem. Honda had it right the first time

Hi G9. I was thinking of using it on my shock.
I'm sure the motor will vibrate with the poly bushings. that's not good. I wont do it.

Yea don't try to knock them out with a hammer lol I learned that the hard way at least it was an afo5 I busted. Side note u can use a large thick washer on the outside of each bush as a protective from the bushings sliding out

They're extremely easy to press out and back in. Extremely. Right tool for the job helps a ton.
