Greetings:

Is there a reason the stock belt can't be used on the dyno? A direct comparison run between a CVT and a cog belt driven pull on the same engine would at last quantify just how much power is lost to belt slip. I would be surprised if the difference were less than 10%.

Can the variator and clutch just be altered to keep a consistent ratio. Maybe the rear clutch could be tac welded, and the variator could be shimmed into a fixed position?

Greetings:

Blocking down the variator so the front pulley is fully closed would keep the ratio from changing, and tell us what the belt is costing in terms of performance with the spring pressing full-tight on the belt...

That makes sense. Ok Brandon, so you ship the pulleys you want to use and Ill do the fab work.

That is such a good looking pipe. Even if it was just as good as something else, I'd want it simply because it looks so darn good. Can't wait for these.

I did some measuring and think I have a good idea how to make this work and still use the clutch. I have some sprockets and belt on the way from Gates to see if I can mock this up. I need an extra complete clutch unit if someone has one to donate for research...

Do these pipes make so much power because of the expansion pipe design?

you can see here: http://www.scooterinvasion.net/forum/vi ... .php?t=253 where the c16 falls into the realm of things, just in general.

graphite9 wrote:The expansion chamber, pipe diameter, and lengths all contribute to the amount of power, for that specific cylinder/CC. Not all pipes are created equal, as can be seen on the first post. This yasuni pipe beat out all the other pipes in the scoot-tuning dyno article. Thats why I chose it. You could take an ebay pipe, and put it up against this one, or a windjammer, and the difference would be night and day. Pipes are a HUGE deal on two strokes.
So with the Corsa build that I am sloooowly doing, would you recommend this over one of the other pipes you sell? I was reading some of the for sale stuff you had with all of those Scorpion and other pipes you had built.
