crank seals

Post by scootfast »

Is there a way to check crank seals for leaks? And what is involved in replacing them ? Is this a easy fix or do you have to tear down the motor? Any help would be great. Jim

Greetings:

Seals are installed after the crank is in position. They can be removed with hook tools that destroy them and new ones pressed in. I've always been able to do it with hairy Wheel-thumbs.
