If you can find one I was told the SEF Black is pretty quite and a good performer. The v8 is quite but not quite a performer but better then stock I'm sure. Haven't ran either myself just what I'm told.

I did have an opportunity to buy a SEF at one point, what about the PG Short as that is a can style Correct? I would assume any can style muffler would be somewhat quite? I did like the performance of my Chamber Pipe but it was Ridiculously Loud!

The malossi wild lion is good and quiet, pg short is a little better and a little louder, sef black is hard to find but quiet and better performer than pg. Wild lion is a great pair for a cast iron bore. I'm going to be doing a cast iron malossi, wild lion, and 9.8:1s after my girlfriend gets use to the power of the stock cylinder with pg short.
I'd stay away from chamber style with external stingers. They will be loud and have a more narrow power band. The malossi iron and polini contessa have a wide power band that needs a matching pipe. They are not high revvers, you will be lucky to see 10k on one with out a lot of effort so keep with an exhaust that fits the profile.

The pg short rusts real bad and rattles a bit after 400 miles on my stocker. It's a good thing to know when spending your hard earned money. I also store it inside and live in a desert type climate. Real dry.
I have an extra wild lion and a gianelli that appears to be an exact copy of the wild lion minus it's gloss black instead of matte. If you're interested in either I'd sell one.

second the rattle of the pg pipes. my pg long rattled from the start and is pretty loud. I might be on the look out for a quieter pipe myself as I work at 6 during the summer and its a bit tough to get through my neighborhood without waking everyone up.

The v8 isn't horrible it just has a very very very distinct drop off in power at 7800. Just gear accordingly.

Does anyone know at what RPM the Cast Malossi Makes the most Power? And if the V-8 doesn't allow for higher RPM power I'm guessing a lower Gear-Set would work to my advantage such as 8:44's

I'm looking for quiet, better than stock pipe as well. Running 72cc Malossi Iron with the stock carb/airbox though. Planning to put on 8.4:1 gears.

How does the SEF black, V8, and wild lion compare loudness wise to a stock pipe?

It's power drops off around 8500 but will rev to 10k easily with the right pipe. I think I'm going to try out the fabrizi on the malossi cast.

It's making horrible power at 9100 it feels like even at 10k it's got to be just moving air on the dyno chart.
