Gears a bit tall, but otherwise looks good. You could spend much more for better gear, but this sounds like you're gonna have FUN!!

Ive heard with taller gears you wanna run a stiffer center spring with lighter weights. 27- 33 grams total. It will get rid of that lag. Amd make your take off much better. Your looking for a constamt gain of speed. Those heavier weights put the belt into a higher gear position by the time the clutch pads grab, so the engine will be fighting to get back into the power. The way my trans is tuned i rocket off the line and the front wheel stays off the ground for about 20-30 ft while im leaning hard over the handle bars, my clutch springs also engage at 6000 rpm if that helps..

The dr. Pulley sliders open farther. But light or not, enough speed those rollers open all the way. Ya know centrifugal force... Lol.

I run almost the same setup. just tune your carb first. then tune one thing at a time. like weights. you want your clutch springs engage in power band. depending also how much you weigh lol. other then that trial and error

But as far as getting the most from HIS set up, try a tried and true tranny set up before bagging it. Especially if you dont have means to get a good 250-300$ pipe. but realistically, you dont run super tall gears on stock , cuz it doesnt have the power to hadle it. So if your pipe or just set up in general cant handle those gears just jump down a step. Those tall ones are for strokers anyhow, right?

Well I tried 6.8 gears. And to tell you the truth after 20mph its awesome. coming off a street light sucks balls lol. But it depends if you weight super light then maybe it will work but I didnt like it at all. But if you want top end a lot of guys like it here. I tried 7.9 and it felt really good off the line all the way till the top of the gears could handle. But people was passing me and I figured I could run a little lower gears and sacrifice some bottom end. People here like to cruise far distances so taller gears to me keeps the bike reving so high and top out so quickly I decided to go 2 steps lower at 7.4. It took lots of tuning and I think I got it where I want it to be. I got bottom end from running blue malossi clutch springs and the lightened mag helped by making the bike rev faster. Had to run a little heavier weights after putting it on. But I also run a scooter alley sparrow, malossi race clutch, ruckus polini variator. Pulls pretty good with 7 and 7.5 weights. And Im 225lbs lol. Does mini stroker count lol. But with the same set up tried a scorpion, pg short, and a stroker v8. The pg short was ok but loud. The Scorpion had amazing mid top end but super loud. the stroker v8 was the quietest and good low and mid. The top end took some time to get there and it didnt pull as hard cause its not a high reving pipe. I like my sparrow pipe the most. It gave me the most all around. Its not the quietest pipe but I like it. I cant wait to try out a Polini pipe though(Graphite9). I think one of the best pipes I ran before was back in 96 was a malossi chamber pipe. Those things are no where to be found lol. But pipe makes a big difference. You can only tune your motor to your pipe. The pipe makes a whole lot of difference. But its all what you want and how much you want to spend. Hopefully my experience with things help.

Update, polini is now ported, now running blue clutch springs. Anything else to change? Drop weights to all 6.5.
