Jetting problems

My bike has major jetting problems I believe
When I make the bike more rich when turning the screw the bike tends to shoot a lot of smoke out of the exhaust and barely moves then after a bit after the smoke is done shooting out of the exhaust it starts to ride normal but dies out later during the ride maybe about a minute in to riding
When I make the bike more lean when turning the screw out the bike starts out fine but also dies out very fast
The jets I'm runing are 90 main and 38 pilot this is on a stock SYM carberuter
Any idea what the problem is ?
