What mix are you running in the tank? 80:1 or 96:1?

Per the instructions Taz included im 50-1 for break in then I believe 80-1 after. My 50-1 probably isn't accurate as I was using a 1.5 oz shot glass to premix 2 gallons of premium so it was "close" at best. I also added a few capfuls to the tank after I soft seized and panicked! Side note, Honda GN2 residue on a shot glass ruins a perfectly good shot of Jameson! I "ran" pretty good afterward though.

Switch to 96:1. Those are outdated instructions.

For break in??? I could see after but that seems awful light for break in.

You're about at that breaking Mark anyway, so do it on the next fill up.

Gotcha! I calculated 2 gallons at my 30something mile per tank would get me close to 100 so figured I would more or less go by the can and not the odometer as much.

And yes 96:1 sounds lite, you'll want 80:1 for break in, but 96:1 after, should be just fine, you don't wanna over saturate oil, so 50:1 is a little too much and can make you run lean (on fuel), and cause soft seizing.

Dang, think that may be why I soft seized? I'm atleast 50-1 if not slightly heavier. Was following the instructions Taz provided.

Might also explain the small spot of oil I'm leaving under the kickstand everytime I park it for a while.... Extra lube for the crank case was planning on tracking that down tonight.

Yes, that image you posted is outdated and was done before I had dyno analysis done. Taz should be revising that soon. I noticed he is out of stock on BBK'S for now on his eBay Store. I'm assuming he will revise instructions after getting more in. Bump it down to 96:1 you'll probably notice a better pickup as well. And if you drilled 3 1 inch holes already, cover 1 up with some duct tape, try to get a little better suction then what you have.

Ahhh the ol' TAZ BBK woes. I burned up 3 of them kits before I finally cut my losses and moved on. Never ran right, kept throwing money at it, finally gave up and swapped in an Elite motor. In my opinion, keep a Spree a Spree. If you want more power, speed, torque, etc...get a different motor.

No woes here, just kinks. I'm a very UNDER qualified mechanic who's first project is this spree and so far it's been fairly simple to figure out and work though. Thanks to a lot of write ups I found here before I joined. I hope my luck is better than yours with the bbk but as of this point I have absolutely no complaints.
