Imo, not lately. Stage6 has seem to fallen off lately from what I hear. And naruku is an "affordable" brand. There not exactly high quality race parts, but I don't think there low quality stuff either. But I wouldn't pay a premuim for it.

The intake is just a hunk of aluminum. What ever one you buy will most likely benefit from new reeds and some grinding/clearancing/sanding/porting,etc. I really don't know tho, I've only bought cheap Taiwanese intakes like the ct. Haven't had any problems yet.

No problem, no I didn't see a note anywhere in my end.

I don't mind buying a polini carb, I don't know which size would suit my bike better, 24 or 28. I have no idea what range Jets to start with. I understand carburetor theory I just don't know where to start with this bike or the best place to acquire the parts.

Why is upgrading the reeds so critical at this stage?

Get a 21mm cp, stage 6 intake and a pg short

That is what i wished I did the first time.

Now if you want to get adventurous and go all out polini corsa and a corsa pipe with a 21mm cp, stage 6 intake, and 9:1 gearing. Wpuld be a soild bike with a good vari and clutch too.

The 50mm bore in my case only seized and had issues to begine with. Wanst very happy with it, but I wont fault the seller some people have great luck with them.

graphite9 wrote:the 24 will be best on the 50mm. If you do the ct manifold you need to sand down and true every flat surface because they do leak. The cages are brittle, and they shatter. I've heard of and seen it happen to probably 12 people a year. The plastic, metal and reeds go into your engine.
I have a video of mine that SHATTERED. Caught it before it ate it

Greetings:

No question about Graphie's 3/11/17 post; the Polini carbs don't Look a lot different from the OKOs, but they sure do Run better. Totally worth the coin not to have dodgy jetting and spring leaks a year down the road. Quality control is important, Who Knew? The Italians did.

U get what u pay for. Naraku and stage 6 are both way better. There bolt on peice of mind, no modding needed. The c/t is less, but u have to sand and still just hope it seals and ur reeds dont explode ruining ur bore, possibly crank, maybe blow a hole in ur case. Just not worth the risk over $40-$50....
