new build performance 88 af05

Post by Buntongm »

hi all, I recently acquired a few different project bikes. 1 a Honda express 50 1978 frame. 2 a Honda Elite 50 1988 SA50. 3 a 1990 Elite SB50p. I decided to make a funky project and put the 1988 sa50 af05e drivetrain onto my express 50 frame. this is a list of things I did and i was wondering if anyone will know how the setup will perform or possible top speed before i finish. or if anyone has any reasonably priced ideas for improvement. its going for a rat rod look.

stock carb

They are all documented. I just decided to make something as a summer fun project and take it to biketoberfest here in a few months. The express does not support a verticle engine although if you fabricate a bracket to stretch its length it fits nicely behind the frame.

Wow thats pretty neat! I have no idea anyone would ever do that. Being that i used the 88 SA50 Af05 motor, with the tweaks i posted on my first post, what kind of performance should i expect from this motor with a lighter overall frame ?
