Update:
I just installed a Tazland 48mm BBK with the supplied #90 jet.

My setup is as follows:
Stock unmodified airbox
SB50 carb, intake and reed block
Custom pipe
48mm Tazland BBK

Is the #90 jet a good place to start? I donÔÇÖt have a temp gauge and am worried I might seize it.

Might wanna put a couple holes in the airbox, it'll need a tad more then what the stock box gives, but not much more. #90 should be fine as a starter. Just read the plug after riding a bit, don't get on it too much while breaking in. LOVE THAT PIPE!!

Temperature gauge for sure. When you switch to another pipe you will have to tune to it also. Always use a temp gauge unless you're good at reading spark plugs? Keep your fuel/oil ratio consistent.

I couldnÔÇÖt get the 90 to work. Was 4 stroking with a stock lid.
Soft seized almost immediately with 2 7/8 inch holes drilled in the lid. Taped over one of the holes and the plug showed it was still dangerously lean.

So my next move is to find some #57-#62 drill bits and wreck a few jets.

Taz sells higher jets for your carb. Consider porting the SB50 intake to maximize flow. Switch to a 96 main jet, continue using the holes you have drilled so far. Will have ported reeds and a Kitaco intake up for sale later on if you are interested. It's what I WAS using, and easily saw me past 40mph without seizing or lubrication probs.. Also, are you running the recommended 96:1 in your tank? I'd amend that a bit, and tell you to run 80:1 in your tank for 1 or 2 tanks, then switch to 96:1 after break in. CAREFUL with the Taz BBK, if you seized once, don't let it bring you down. Let's just figure out WHY first so it doesn't happen again. Would LOVE to see someone running an SB50 setup with a BBK properly. Pretty sure you have enough knowledge to figure this one out. Love the bike.

Numbers above are for the stock 85' gear ratio (12T), using 2.75x10" wheels.
Interesting speed calculator! Please can you share a link to it?
