NEW SPREE Owner need advice on Exhaust..

Post by NATAS »

Hello Everyone,

I would like some advice on selecting a exhaust for my 1986 Honda Spree. I dont really need anything crazy, I'm only using this bike as a pit bike at the racetrack. It runs great without a muffler but its crazy loud.

Put the stock muffler back on it... :eyeroll:
Most Spree owners will agree...
There is NO "selection" to be made...
Only one (1) aftermarket pipe is made for Spree...MLM, but I think it is no longer being made...
There is really no point or advantage to adding a pipe to a pit bike.
Can't hardly believe you are running it without a pipe... :newb:
Hang around this forum for a while.
We'd love to help you discover the do's and don't's of Spree-dom.

Motormike,

Thanks for your feedback, but I tossed the stock muffler in garbage. When I bought the Spree it was clogged and wouldn't allow the motor to run. Once I removed the muffler she fired right up!

You can find several solutions to a clogged muffler problem in this site's "Wikispreedia" section.
Recommend you get a pipe on it to keep it from running lean and burning up the cylinder/piston/both.

If you need a new stock one let me know, I have an unclogged freshly painted with high temp engine block paint stock pipe ready to box up and send your way for a cheap price.
