Honda aero 80 stock muffler.

Post by Proy »

Hey guys does anyone have any experience with the stock muffler on a 83 aero 80.

I was riding yesterday and hit a pothole and wnded up snapping the header pipe to my muffler in half.

Is it worth the time to fix the stock muffler or modify a aftermarket pipe onto the block.

Jeez sounds like a bad day. I would assume the stock muffler must be fairly damaged so I would go with an option other than fixing that.

Tough call...
I tend to repair when I think the item will hold up to make it worth the time it takes/
Size up the overall condition, make the call.
It won't be easy finding a good used one.
Adapting a completely different pipe could be tricky, and tuning it might be as well.
If you post some pix, some suggestions will be easier to make...
