Whats up guys.
i need help tryna figure out this tuning, currently at about 65 mph top speed. I wanna hit 70+
im a noob, straight up, but im tryna learn

i got a elite E
dio motor
72cc polini bore
little ports
g dash pipe
HL driveline
black center spring, yellow clutch
kelly variator
sef ramp
28mm keihin carb with filter
7.1 gears

Live stem with pg drop legs
dd50 disk brake setup
stock dd front rim and tire
Rear coilover shock on stock dd rim and tire

right now im at pretty low weights and the way i have my jets, the bottom and mid range feels beasttt, but i wanna get that top end strong..

i was wondering what kind of weights and jetting you would use?

im hitting about 65 with my current setup but im tryna get into the 70 mph club lol

LMK, any help is appreciated

Please state the year and model of the bike as well as the year and model of the engine because we all think you have a Spree with a AF16 but you might have an Aero with an AFo5E or an Elite with a AF18 or is it an Express with an AF27....or...? ...:)

Greetings:

65 is already a respectable speed on Corsa aluminumm (I presume) bore as the Polini Contesta Iron cylinder won't exceed 60 with its more conservative porting. Not familiar with G-Dash pipe but I suspect it to be a Sport exhaust that won't allow the RPM you need to go much faster. If by Keihin carb you mean the stock PA 14mm, 65 is Astounding! No need to go much bigger than 24mm, but along with pipe and 8:1 gears 70 is reachable. Jets depend on carb sie, and weights affect acceleration performance but not top speed as long as they are heavy enough to ovecome spring and max out the diameter of the variator.

more suggestions to go faster? I got a 44mm crank shaft with some ports in my block....Keep the suggestions coming!! Thanks

Hahaha yesss, I have upgraded to disk brakes and a bigger front tire. The stock 89 front end is super sketchy at high speeds. I couldn't go past 60 mph comfortably but the live stem with disk brakes made the world of difference. It is a little heavier but I rather be safe than sorry.

Oh okay, I will do that tomorrow.

Do you guys have experience with ring rattle? Installed a new piston and new rings on my old bore and crank. Now the rings make noise but it's not constant, only happens at random times 🤔
