Drag Racing Return

So I have a good little Honda Spree, currently stock.

It runs 20.40 at about 27.04 mph at best so far in the eighth. Tested on 6/20.

Trying to return to drag Racing competition this year.

I've seen some serious potential in videos and such.

I'd like to know how much it would cost to run low 8s in the Eighth mile.

Should I get a sa50? Cn250? Gy6?

Should I keep the high gear as it has now or add a clutch and actual gears (like a dirtbike)

IMHO...you should keep it well maintained, in factory stock condition, and use it for a pit bike.

This question is vague, and has ten thousand possible answers, at least.
Not sure that time is attainable without building a scooter that would cost a couple thousand dollars. Maybe then you could.

No, not for the purpose of doing 8-second runs on the 1/8 mile strip.
Waste of time.
Instead, look for a GSXR 1000.

Running low 8’s in the 1/8th mi would put your trap speed about 85mph....not happening, nope, nada, never on a Spree.

Unless of course you swap in a motor from a street bike or something. With the money, time, effort involved in all that youd be well into the thousands of dollars and many hundreds of hours of custom fabrication. Anything can be done with deep enough pockets, I guess.

I've seen plenty of these. Extended swingarms, etc. Its possible this bike has a power adder like Nitrous or a supercharger. Seen some massive tires too.

Meatball. @motormike

No I'm not a very young rider.

You’d need a liquid cooled AF18 bored and stroked to 125cc. Maybe some of our Hawaiian or Puerto Rican members can chime in.

The video is a 4stroke junior dragster engine on a scooter.

But a 125cc dio stroker will do 8s with a tiny rider

Did I hear an echo from the past ?
Was that a voice of considerable respect and speedy cunning ?
First, Bear comes back after 9 years, and now T-jamz chimes in on drag-racing.
Good to have BOTH you fellas sharing again...motor

Good to be back in to scooters again.
My son is 16 and has a elite s with a new polini kit on it.
He want to be fast like his old man :)
