Post by rag64 »

afo5e bbk build with stock stroke crank and malossi 70cc bbk and Leo vince sp3 and ct intake and a 21mm polini pwk carb and at 800' elevation, what is an input for a good jetting starting point for this carb and setup?

Burnt Toast is the af05 wizard. See if he replies. I messed with one years ago, got frustrated and scored an af16. Never looked back. Good luck.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Greetings:

The Polini (and Malossi...) 47 mm cylinders yield 65cc, not 70. Neither revs high enough without porting to justify a 21mm Carb. 17.5 or 19 is plenty. Amal/Arreche made direct-fit carbs if you still have the stock intake. Otherwise you'll install the Adapter kit from Swap-Shop and I encourage you to consider the 19 mm Polini. Tuning will be a LOT easier.

I did a 21mm before I seen your feedback and its an after market intake and reed block, still having issues dialing in jetting and where needle needs to be
