a custom made exaust

i am trying to get an idea on what a custom made exaust would look like but i am not sure i am just wondering if anyone who has made one for a spree or elite or really anything could post a picture of one.

Also i am wondering i saw the calculater thing for the spree exaust but that is for the outer part just wondering what the inside would look like and where would i get like the baffles and stuff like that or if i can make them how would i go about doing so?

An expansion chamber has nothing inside of it. This should help you.

I have since addad a little muffler at the end.



Spend some quality time with the Jennings book and the calculator found in the advanced tech section. I did add an inch to the center section. This pushed the tuned rpm down a little and made it work better for me. Also, be prepared to do some jetting changes. Kenny can tell you what happens if you don't, he's really good at doing that. Unless you just like melting pistons.

That was how I received it. I have since replaced the fan and fan cover. Testing the pipe I did run it to 11,000 rpm with that fan and no cover. I do not reccomend either practice.

Those pictures are of my Pal. Same motor as the Spree except it has a variable front pulley. Is it loud? What? I can't hear you. The muffler on the end helps a lot but it is loud. I used the inverted stinger and the glass pack type muffler to quiet it down so it's not horrable. I've got a more advanced design in the works for the next one. Should be a bit quieter.

I made this one from 20ga steel sheet. The baffles in a stock muffler are to make it quieter. The stock muffler is designed to never resonate and be quiet. The tuned pipe is a resonant length. Baffles would prevent the pressure waves from bouncing like they should and prevent it from working. A muffler can be added to the outlet of the tuned pipe, like I did on mine. I used a straight through glass pack type muffler so it is still fairly noisey. You could fabricate a more effective muffler and quiet it down more. With no muffler they are ear piercing loud, you will * off the neighbors and attract cops from blocks away.
