If you're running more fuel and air through the engine I would expect a loss in mileage. A.N.S.T.A.A.F.L. (ain't no such thing as a free lunch)

What kind of 1/4 time does it run? got a slip scan?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

hey there i just got done remaking my aero's exhaust and all i have to say either cut open the end of the muffler and rip out all the baffles and weld it back up(somewhat loud)or cut off the muffler but only remove the muffler casing! dont remove any of the pipe or you will lose power and put an expansion chamber over the end of the pipe about the size of mine then you will have to make a silencer like me with glass insulation or real name brand 2 stroke packing or go buy a cheap silencer from a small cc dirtbike. if you look at my pic each weld (there are 3) in the stock pipe is where my aftermarket expansion chamber use to start and the stock pipe was later reattached and my pipe was moved back because the number one thing you will be doing is trial and error and i found that i gained power each time i put more of the stock pipe back on! The stock pipe actually ends right at the valve stem on my rim now and thats where my after market dirtbike pipe starts this is the most powerful incarnation yet and i am very pleased with the power(would pop wheelies at every stop light if i let it) and yet it is very quiet.

yep the stock pipe ends right at the bottom of the valve stem or if you look at the end of the pipe coming out of the silencer that where it ends and my mx pipe that i modified begins. my engine is all stock except for a 100 main jet and some mild to moderate exhaust porting

hey i don't know what bike or pipe your bike has but please note that some stock exhausts aren't stepped like my aero's so if your pipe doesn't get wider as it gets longer i would recomend buying an aero, elite, etc. exaust that is and cutting/welding on your scoot's header first
