i feel like i want in on this, a few years back i bought the jacobs pro street kit for my jeep - i paid over 400 bucks for it - i expected all the crap they sell you about it - and really i didn't notice much of a difference at all - i was able to advance the timing some and starting was easier - but it was a whole ignition system -
so just buying a blaster coil?
i'd agree that its just a cheaper better looking stock replacement - it can only put out as much as the ignition system sends it right?
but yeah it looks great - if i ever loose a coil i'm definately getting one of those.
stay safe

The msd coil puts out a more constant spark per piston revolution so all the fuel is burned in the piston chamber so there is no blow by, it also elimiates fuel bog on modified engines and gives a crisp throttle response, i don't know what it will do for stock engines maybe give better cold starts and better fuel economy, after 3 months of letting my stroker aero sit i just fired it up on the second kick, tool 30 kicks with the stock coil, spark plug is 5 yrs. old, Hmmm it must work!!!!

I let my engs sit for months on a time, stock coil /cdi first couple kicks and she go.
High output coils make a difference on HIGH compression eng's
they do give better spark/stronger.
ONLY if your eng can use it will you see full potential, now if it was multiple spark that's different!

Seeing as though my coil may be dead, I might get this out of necessity, not because of a fad.

that's kinda like an aftermarket coil. hate to see what an OEM one goes for.
