its great, been using it for 5 yrs now on my stroker aero but will also work on stock engines, gives crisp throttle response, no carbon deposits in exhaust, no fuel bog on strokers and gains an extra 5mph, just find a place to mount it, for aeros its on the left side battery box, for elites its on the oil drip pan right side and i don't know on a spree? your temp will stay the same just more spark per revolution.
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!

Going back to this old topic... I've been looking for Shoot Shiny coils, prices I've been getting back are around $50 shipped to MI.

But I can buy an MSD Blaster SS coil for $50 from Ramchargers (those in MI will probably have heard of this speed shop). It sounds like it's a direct hookup to the existing wiring harness, and the direction everyone is going anyway. Am I missing anything? I've got one on order now.

This is P/N 8207 from MSD. You can also mail-order them from JC Whitney, but you'll pay shipping.

That's what I hear too. But the Blaster looks k00ler, esp. since I'm running no sidecovers, for that eleet "Naked Spree" look.

BTW the 8.5mm coil wire is sold seperate and is custom cut according to placement, don't let it touch the frame.

Can you just use standard copper 7mm motorcycle wire and the stock plug cap?

Just fired up the aero from * after letting sit for a month, first kick fires it up-no choke, before the msd coil it would take at least 15 kicks.

So you need to purchase the Blaster and a separate wire that needs to be cut to fit?
